Aplscruf's Music, Art, and Literature Blog

About

Waiting For Their Turn

When I first started writing Aplscruf’s Music Blog, my goal was to post my concert journals online and share with anyone who might be interested in reading about the joys of  live music.  I wanted to motivate the reader to go out and see a live show and experience a similar positive reaction.

Now, in 2021, I want to branch out a bit. Over the last five years, I haven’t written many music blogs. Life happened. Death happened. COVID-19 happened. During the lockdown, I found I had other interests besides live music including poetry, literature, nature, and my son’s beautiful abstract artwork. I started thinking about a new direction for this blog.

What you’ll find here is a growing collection of music, poetry, art, book recommendations, essays, and musings.

Enjoy!

  2. I read your blog regarding your obstructed seat at Joe Cocker in row 10, stage left. What were your seat numbers?

    • I’ll check that out. I saved them. I’m pretty sure we were a few seats in from the aisle on left side. There was a big curtain on the left side of the stage where they had equipment. We couldn’t see Benmont at all, except for part of his piano. For $300, we should have at least been able to see the whole stage!

    • I couldn’t find tickets, but husband said we were in section C, probably seats 37-38 or something, closer to the left aisle than to the middle.
